2018 Winter Promotion

To recognise and thank Energy Online customers for their continued loyalty we are giving away one of 100 packages of 3 months’ free energy usage to 100 lucky residential customers (“Promotion”).

1. The Promotion is open between 22 April 2018 and 2 June 2018 (“Promotion Period”) to Energy Online new and existing residential customers as at 2 June 2018 only.


2. To be eligible for the Promotion you must be an active existing Energy Online residential customer account holder on 2 June 2018 or new Energy Online customer who signs up before 2 June 2018 (“Eligible Participant”).


3. If you have a legacy electricity meter, or if you are a metered gas customer, to be eligible for the Prize, you must provide us with unrestricted access to your meter during the Prize Term.


4. This Promotion grants each Eligible Participant one entry into the prize draw (“Prize Draw”) for a chance to win one of 100 Prizes in accordance with these terms and conditions.


5. Each Prize winner must have an open residential Energy Online energy account between the dates of 2 June 2018 and 23 September 2018 (“Prize Term”) and the account is operating in compliance with the EOL Standard terms and conditions. Closure of the Energy Online account before or during this time period will result in the winner forfeiting the prize and all energy usage will be charged as per standard Energy Online pricing.


6. The Promotion is for residential customers only and for the primary residence of the account holder.


7. Commercial customers and residential customers with a property deemed to be commercial in nature are not eligible.


8. Customers with multiple properties/residences on a single account are eligible to enter, however the prize can only be applied to a single property/residence.


9. A valid email address and contact phone number must be provided, failure to do so may result in being excluded from receiving the Prize.


10. Energy Online retains the right to exclude customers deemed to be in debt with Energy Online or in account arrears.


11. New customers are subject to Energy Online’s standard joining terms and conditions.

12. The prize is 1 of 100 packages of 3 months’ (from 21 June 2018 to 23 September 2018 inclusive) free Energy Usage on the winner’s Energy Online energy account (“Prize”). For the purposes of this promotion, Energy Usage means usage of electricity, natural gas and/or LPG bottled gas (as the case may be) by Prize Winner at their primary residence. Energy Usage does not include any additional account charges (including, without limitation, any metering upgrades, metering configurations or reconnection/disconnection fees).


13. The Prize will be applicable to the Prize Winner’s primary residential account during the Prize Term for utilities that are open with Energy Online under that account as at 2 June 2018.


14. The Prize will not be applicable to any utilities that are opened on or following 2 June 2018.


15. The Prize will be applied to the Prize Winner’s Energy Online primary residential account by adjusting the Prize Winners’ account balance on their primary residential property to zero during the Prize Term.


16. In the case of:
    1. a legacy meter; or
    2. metered gas customer
     

    We will require meter readings for the relevant product at the beginning of, and at the end of, the Prize Term. This can either be provided by you (with photographic evidence), or arranged by us (free of charge). If no meter readings are provided or able to be arranged within 5 working days, the Prize will be forfeit.



17. The Prize is in relation to actual meter readings only and will not be awarded in relation to estimates.


18. The Prize will include (or apportioned thereof where applicable):
    
    
    1. in the case of electricity:
       1. daily fixed charges; and
       2. variable usage charges;
    
    
    2. in the case of a metered gas supply:
       1. daily fixed charges; and
       2. variable usage charges;
    
    
    3. in the case of bottled LPG:
       1. the $5 per month LPG bottle rental fee; and
       2. the $99 bottle fee for bottles ordered during the Prize Term.


19. Energy Online may, in its sole discretion, determine that it will not award the Prize to the Prize Winner for reasons including where the Prize Winner’s account is in breach of the EOL Standard Terms and Conditions, awarding the Prize may (in Energy Online’s sole discretion) adversely impact the reputation of Energy Online, or where the Prize Winner is no longer eligible.

20. The Prize winners will be drawn on 7 June 2018 (“Draw Date”) by randomly selecting 100 Eligible Participants to receive 1 of 100 Prizes and will be notified by email or telephone within 5 business days after the Draw Date (“Prize Winners”).


21. If the Prize Winners cannot be contacted within the specified timeframe or are not eligible to win the Prize, that Prize will be redrawn until the winners for that Prize are drawn and notified and the Prize has been accepted.


22. By accepting the Prize, the Prize Winner’s name, image and details may be used by Energy Online for promotional purposes, including online and on social media, and the winner agrees to participate in any publicity arrangements that Energy Online may reasonably require. All personal information will be held in accordance with Energy Online’s Privacy Policy.

23. The promoter of the Prize is Genesis Energy Limited trading as Energy Online.


24. The Prize is not transferable, refundable nor redeemable for cash. If the Customer moves from Energy Online during the Prize Term, the balance of the Prize will be forfeited


25. This Prize is not available in conjunction with any other offer from Energy Online.


26. This Promotion is only open to current Energy Online residential customers residing in New Zealand.


27. Employees, contractors or agents of Energy Online or Genesis Energy, are not eligible for the Promotion.


28. The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.


29. Entry into this Offer implies full acceptance of all the terms and conditions of the Offer. If the Prize winner does not accept these terms and conditions, the Prize will be forfeited


30. All new customer applications are subject to a credit check.


31. The standard Energy Online pricing will apply at the end of the Prize Term.


32. Energy Online Standard Terms and your applicable plan terms apply at all times.


33. Genesis Energy reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions in any way up to the expiry of the Prize Term.


34. Genesis reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, withdraw, modify or suspend the Promotion or invalidate any customers from the Promotion at any time without prior notice.


35. By participating in the Promotion and /or accepting a Prize you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and any other applicable terms and conditions.


36. Energy Online’s Standard Terms and Conditions will also apply and take precedence if there is any inconsistency between them and the terms and conditions for this Offer.
